Academic Success Center

The Academic Success Center offers comprehensive academic services, programming, and resources that support students in thinking critically, planning accordingly, and thriving academically as they become difference makers at APU. The center comprises several areas of support: Academic Advising, TRIO Student Support Services and TRIO Upward Bound, First-Year Seminar, Accessibility Services, Testing Services, and the Tutoring Center.

Center for Career and Community-Engaged Learning: Study Away

The Study Away section of the Center for Career and Community-Engaged Learning offers innovative, inclusive, and accessible global learning opportunities for students, including study away programs, as well as comprehensive advising, preparation, and re-entry guidance.

General Education Requirements

All students completing an undergraduate degree are required to meet APU’s General Education requirements, along with their major requirements. Learn more about current GE requirements for traditional undergraduate students or for professional undergraduate students, and contact your academic advisor with any questions.

Math and Physics Center

The Math and Physics Center, located in Segerstrom Science Center, Room 170, provides additional opportunities for APU students who need assistance at all levels of mathematics and physics. Student tutors (mostly APU mathematics majors) are on site for walk-in tutoring from 2-7 p.m., Monday through Thursday, throughout each semester.


Students register for classes directly within the Enrollment menu of Locate courses by name, subject, or number and add or drop classes any time during the add/drop period.

Student Center for Reconciliation and Diversity

The Student Center for Reconciliation and Diversity promotes student development through coordinating cultural events, advising ethnic student organizations, and providing information on scholarships. It is also home to the GEN1 Scholars Program.

Campus Store

The Campus Store, located on Duke Student Commons West Campus, is APU’s one-stop shop for textbooks, school supplies, apparel, and gifts. Students can order textbooks online or purchase them in-store.

University Libraries

Azusa Pacific’s libraries include the William V. Marshburn Memorial Library (East Campus), the Hugh and Hazel Darling Library (West Campus), the James L. Stamps Theological Library (West Campus), and library services at APU’s regional locations. The libraries maintain a wealth of online resources and interlibrary services to support scholarship and research, no matter where students are located.

Writing Center and Speaking Center

At the Writing Center, writing coaches are available to help APU students at any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming and drafting to editing and proofreading. Staff work with students one-on-one, in groups, online, and in workshops. Make a Writing Center appointment.

Housed within the Writing Center is APU’s Speaking Center, providing speaking coaches who can guide students as they prepare for public speaking and presentations, from creating an outline to knowing your audience and everything in between. Make a Speaking Center appointment.
