Krystina Torrence, MSN Ed, RN

Krystina began her nursing career as a licensed vocational nurse in 2014 as a case manager. She continued her nursing journey and completed the LVN to BSN upper division transfer program at Azusa Pacific University and began working as a registered nurse on a medical surgical unit in 2019. During this time, she gained an appreciation for teaching while precepting new graduate nurses, and decided to pursue nursing education.

In 2022, she completed the Masters of Science in Nursing program at APU with an emphasis in nursing education. She continued to gain experience in telemetry, respiratory, psychiatric, and home health settings. While teaching as an adjunct instructor, she was introduced to simulation and became fascinated with the teaching modality. Krystina is now working towards her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in the field of high fidelity simulation cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.
