Duke Academic ComplexThe Center for Vocational Ministry assists students who are sensing God leading them to vocational ministry, by helping them clarify their calling and qualify their giftedness. We serve students by:
- Linking them with a CVM mentor who will journey with them as they prepare for ministry.
- Assisting them with refining their giftedness within the Body of Christ.
- Helping them better understand their own story so they can minister more effectively.
Mentoring
Many individuals in pastoral ministry can affirm the significance and influence of one-on-one mentoring in their initial exploration of vocational ministry. Students sensing a call to vocational ministry are often faced with many questions and concerns that they do not have the answers to, or simply find themselves needing support in the process. With this in mind, CVM places primary importance on providing students with the opportunity for intentional mentoring relationships. Our mentors journey with students as they discern their calling in the world.
CVM pastor-mentors have experience in pastoral ministry and have a heart for service toward students who are exploring ministry as vocation. Contact us to learn more about mentoring.
