Nicole Ringo, PhD, has a rich career in both academia and nursing service. In academia, she has developed a new curriculum for the following courses using both face-to-face and online delivery methods: Maternal and Newborn, Fundamentals, Conceptual Foundations, Leadership, Mental Health, Research, and Quality Improvement. As a Clinical Educator, she developed and provided educational guidance for over 150 clinical staff. She has created and implemented departmental policies and sat on two Magnet Committee Councils. Ringo utilizes innovative technology and transformational educational strategies to help engage student learning as well as support their professional role development. Ringo has a passion for helping nurses develop their critical thinking skills and competencies required to promote health, prevent and cure disease, advanced biomedical research within our health-complex and changing world. Ringo has presented research posters on breastfeeding topics at the Western Institute of Nursing and the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland. The focus of Ringo's dissertation was "Exploring Higher Rates of Breastfeeding Among Civilian Military Wives: A Mixed Methods Study".
