Staff Accompanist, Department of Music Performance

Kyungmi Kim, MMA, is well known as a versatile collaborative pianist. She earned a bachelor’s degree in piano performance, with highest honors, from Dankook University, where she studied with Dr. Oksoo Han. In addition, she served as staff accompanist for the Suwon City Choir and International Opera Company. Since moving to the United States, she has continued to study in piano performance with Dr. Robert Watson at California State University, Fullerton. She also earned a Master of Musical Arts in Collaborative Piano from World Mission University as a student of Dr. Lisa Sylvester. Kim has been a staff accompanist at Azusa Pacific University since 2018 and at Scripps and Pomona colleges in Claremont since 2008, and is an adjunct professor at Bethesda University. She is also the pianist of the Los Angeles Men’s Mission Choir and Los Angeles Christian Singers, and is the official accompanist for the Lansum International Music Festival Competition.
