Lu Ruan, PhD, received her Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science & Technology from Tsinghua University, China, and her MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. From 2001 to 2020, she was a faculty member in Computer Science at Iowa State University, where she taught courses in systems and networking, and conducted research in optical networks, Internet topology, Internet routing, and content delivery networks. She has published nearly 50 papers in leading networking conferences and journals. She is a recipient of the National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award. She is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
