Karen French, DNP, FNP-C, RN, enjoys teaching in the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program. She engages in both the didactic and clinical courses. She is the APRN Chair for the MSN and loves being an active family nurse practitioner. Recently, she has practiced in a private practice setting, focusing on promoting health and addressing primary healthcare needs in a family practice office.
Her current area of practice is in GI and Hepatology. Her area of scholarship and publications are focused on osteoporosis and increasing screening in high-risk populations and the impact of liver disease with osteoporosis. Her acute clinical background was in critical care, open-heart ICU, school nursing, and home health care for high risk infants.
