Originally, I am from the Chicago area, and I attended Drake University in Iowa, where I received my Bachelor’s degree. After many years in hospital administration & public health, I went back to school to obtain my RN, BSN and MSN. I've been on staff at APU since 2016 and have taught EBP, Ethics & Patho. I also continue to practice per diem in various departments in our local hospital. and I am on the DART staff of Samaritan’s Purse in the event of catastrophe anywhere in the world.
My husband and I have one son, Alex, who lives and works in Washington D.C. We are an outdoor family with lots of energy and humor, and we enjoy mountain biking, hiking and traveling off-the-beaten-path. Tom is the worship leader at our church, and I facilitate numerous Precept Bible studies for women. My commitment to my students is to help them seek the Lord with all their heart, find the beauty in every situation and build confidence in their skills and professionalism in nursing.
