David C. Bicker, PhD

David Bicker, PhD, is the founder of the Department of Communication Studies at Azusa Pacific, and was a longtime faculty member (1987–2006), as well as chair of the department (1998–2002), before retiring in 2006. He also organized APU’s first Communication Ethics Conference in 1987, with a desire to equip students to make an impact on the culture for Christ. The annual event is now named in his honor as the David C. Bicker IMPACT Conference.
