Department of Engineering and Computer Science

Prepare for Dynamic Careers in Engineering and Computer Science

For students interested in pursuing careers in the active fields of computer science and engineering, the Department of Engineering and Computer Science offers relevant and impactful programs. In addition to a BS in Computer Science (which features a fifth-year MS in Applied Statistics and Data Science option), we offer a highly accessible BS in Computer Information Systems, which is ideal for students with less math preparation, as well as military personnel and veterans, and leads to excellent career opportunities. Finally, the BS in Engineering, accredited by the gold-standard ABET commission, offers concentrations in computer, electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering.

Azusa Pacific is the only Christian university with the prestigious Carnegie R2 designation, which allows the department to participate in high research activity and offer undergraduates many research opportunities.

The department also offers curriculum and instruction support courses for other science and math majors, as well as minors in computer science and computer information systems.
