Bicycle Registration and Protection

Common Bike Serial Number Locations

Members of the Azusa Pacific University community must register their bicycles using the form below. There is a $10 fee for this service, which is charged to the student’s account. Bike permits only need to be ordered once unless a new bike is brought on campus or the permit becomes illegible. Please complete all of the information in the form below. If you have difficulty finding a serial number on your bike, refer to the “Common Bike Serial Number Locations” image on this page to see common locations manufacturers place serial numbers. This information will be helpful should the bicycle become lost or stolen. You will be notified once the permit is ready for pick-up.

Campus Safety takes a proactive approach toward unsecured and unregistered bicycles. We recommend that you secure your bicycle using a U-lock-type mechanism, which can be purchased at the Campus Store.

Unregistered or improperly parked bicycles will be tagged with warning cards, and possibly confiscated for safekeeping. Once a bicycle warning card has been issued, the student must move and/or register their bike or the lock will be cut off at the owner’s expense. If the bike is not claimed within 30 days, it will be donated to a local charity.

All bicycles are required to be registered with the Department of Campus Safety. In the unfortunate event that a bicycle is stolen, registered information is vital to help identify whether or not the stolen bicycle has been recovered.
