The 3rd Annual "Taste of the Town"
October 05, 2005 | Written By Sonya Vecchiarelli '08
Gathered on a beautiful October evening, students, neighbors, faculty, and friends, congregated to eat, engage in fellowship, and enjoy the live music of the Ho-Dads. "Taste of the Town is a chance for the community to come together and sample different vendors from different restaurants that come in," said Matt Vissor, associate director for the Office of Ministry and Service as well as the APU representative for Azusa Golden Days.
Taste of Town allowed Azusa residents to experience an assorted menu of samples from 30 local restaurants. From smoothies to pazookies, the event boasted a wide variety of delectable cuisines that would satiate even the largest appetite! Restaurants represented at the event included B.J.'s Pizza, B-Man's Teriyaki, Burrito Village, and The Whole Enchilada.
Not only was there excellent food, but silent and live auctions as well. Dinner tickets, gift certificates, artwork, gift baskets, and zoo passes were a few of the many items auctioned.
