GoodKnight Collection
Glen Howard GoodKnight II (1941-2010) was an Inklings enthusiast in the Los Angeles area. He is known for his extensive collection of Inklings related books and as the founder of the Mythopoeic Society. GoodKnight’s collection consists of approximately 5,500 books by and about J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and other Inklings. It includes numerous first editions and signed copies, as well as significant works from the personal library of Tolkien. Notable portions of the collection include extensive editions of The Chronicles of Narnia, The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings. There are over 60 languages represented in the collection. GoodKnight began his collection in the 1950s. It was donated to Azusa Pacific University in the summer of 2019.
