Michael Salce, EdD, is the Chair of the Department of School Counseling and School Psychology. He has been teaching at Azusa Pacific University since 2010, and is also a practicing Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) working within the surrounding counties, conducting psycho-educational evaluations as well as working with families of children with emotional and mental health needs. Salce received his Doctorate of Education from the University of Southern California in Educational Psychology, and is also an alumnus of Azusa Pacific University, where he obtained his MA and Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Psychology. He has been a practicing educational psychologist for the past 20 years, and he also consults with districts within the county of Los Angeles regarding the mental health needs of students who receive special education services.
