Community Counseling Center

Transform Your Mind and Your Life

Welcome to the Community Counseling Center (CCC) at Azusa Pacific University! You’ll find compassionate counseling and assessment services for your unique needs and experience compassionate care. We assist individuals, children 5 years old and above, couples, and families.

Our partnership with Azusa Pacific’s School of Behavioral Sciences opens the door to a higher level of care inspired by APU’s Four Cornerstones: Christ, scholarship, community, and service. The CCC staff—graduate and undergraduate students from the departments of clinical psychology and social work—serve with humility, train with excellence, embrace diversity, and model God’s love for all.

CCC therapists respect each individual’s beliefs. Clients who are specifically seeking Christian counseling may request that when they call in for services. Explore our website to learn more.

  • Understanding the school’s needs
  • Understanding the teachers’ needs
  • Understanding the students’ needs
  • Determining the community’s resources
  • Establishing a collaborative working relationship

Working closely with the city of Azusa and surrounding neighborhoods, the Community Counseling Center facilitates client access to local resources in order to maximize potential for success.

We provide comprehensive, tailored assessment for all ages over 5 years old. Assessments given at the CCC range from brief to in-depth, depending on the needs of the client or referring agency. Asessment services are supervised by the director of clinical training from the Department of Clinical Psychology.

We’ll interview you, learning your needs and expectations. Then we’ll give a set of tests grouped together to explore your strengths and challenges. We’ll write a report with recommendations to pursue on your own or with a specialist. After the report, we’ll follow up with a feedback session including your testing therapist to answer questions or address concerns.

Assessment fees vary from $350-700 depending on the purpose of testing, and clients are informed of all costs before to testing.
