Robert Covolo (PhD VU Amsterdam) is a cultural theologian residing in Los Angeles. He has served as a scholar at the Visual Faith Institute of Art and Architecture, as faculty at the Torrey Honors Institute, and as the director for the Center for Pastoral Residents. Dr. Covolo's academic passions revolve around retrieving classical Christian thought to speak into current cultural issues. This is demonstrated in his 2020 volume Fashion Theology (Baylor University Press), wherein the surprising nexus between historic Christian sources and contemporary discussions on fashion's aesthetic, political, social, performative, and communicative qualities are revealed.
