David R. Morrison, EdD, is the chair of the department of School Counseling/ School Psychology. Under the leadership of Morrison the department continues to evolve and make significant and relevant contributions in the field of education. The programs of school psychology and school counseling are highly regarded in the professional community. The school psychology program is a approved by the National Association of School Psychologist (NASP). The School Counseling Program offers a Masters of Arts in Educational and Clinical Counseling; this innovative degree/credential combines a clinical mental health emphasis with traditional educational expertise and will offer graduates the ability to meet the changing demands of school based mental health services.
Morrison, a licensed Educational Psychologist, has been active in providing school districts educationally related mental health services for over 30 years. He has provided psychological and behavioral services for students and their families in a variety of residential and psychiatric settings. His clinical expertise is in psychoeducational assessment and treatment of students identified as emotionally disturbed.
