Biography
Rose Theresa Anderson, MSN, has experience spanning over 20 years through her work in mental health across various areas, including acute inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. Different populations in practice include children, adolescents, families, adult, geriatric, and dual diagnosis. She is passionate about instilling hope in the patients and families, enabling them to move toward recovery and wellness.
Anderson began working as a clinical instructor in 2006 for Loma Linda University, School of Nursing. At that time she discovered her passion for educating student nurses about mental health nursing. In 2013 she moved to a full-time faculty position at Azusa Pacific University. Currently, Anderson works full-time as an Assistant Professor in the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program and part-time in private practice as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her research interests and personal goals include integrating mental health care into the education of Nurse Practitioners working in primary care and beginning a doctoral program.
