APU alumnus Bryan Clay ’03, wins the World Indoor Championships in the heptathlon for the second consecutive year.  Taking place in Doha, Qatar, the World Indoor Championships started Friday, March 12 and continued to Sunday, March 14.

Friday was the first day of the competitive dual between USA competitors, Bryan Clay, Beijing Olympic Decathlon champion, and fellow American Trey Hardee, competing together for the first time since June 2009. Winning by 20 points over Hardee, Clay pushed hard to his victory, closing strong in the sixth event of pole vault, and took home his fourth heptathlon medal and second gold medal.
