Winter Break and Fall Checkout Information

Hello Campus Residents! It is time to begin thinking about Winter Break so you can plan accordingly.

Living areas remain open – Although we encourage all students to return home for break, APU appreciates that some students may need to remain in the area for various reasons. Therefore, all of our living areas will remain open during the winter break for students who register to stay. All university policies will remain in effect (i.e. visitation hours). In addition, please understand that if you decide to remain on campus during this time, campus services will be very limited. Only emergency work orders will be addressed through Campus Safety and all campus dining venues will be closed. This means that you will need to provide your own meals.

Register to stay during break – Students who need to stay at any point during Saturday, December 17, 2022 and Thursday, January 5, 2023 will need to register to do so. Please complete the Winter Break Registration form by December 15, 2022.

Not returning for spring? - If you have been approved to be released from your housing assignment and you are not returning for spring 2023, the Fall Housing Checkout deadline is noon on Saturday, December 17, 2022.. Please go to the checkout section online for more details on how to checkout. This includes graduating seniors, students withdrawing, students who are taking a leave of absence, students studying abroad, and students who have had petitions approved. Graduating seniors are granted a 24-hour extension and must checkout by noon on Sunday, December 18, 2022.
