Biography

Ivy Yee-Sakamoto, PhD, is a professor emerita of APU’s Division of Teacher Education. Her focus is promoting total human development for all students. Her interests are the preparation of teachers for linguistically and culturally diverse student populations, and social studies education. A veteran teacher of young children in public and private schools, she teaches and supervises new and beginning teachers. She conducts research in the areas of multicultural education, diversity education, and bullying prevention in schools and classrooms.
