APU Social Work alumnae, join us as Pilar Buelna shares about how to survive and thrive as women in leadership!

Ms. Buelna has spent most of her career in the non-profit sector, and prior to joining Snap Inc., worked as a senior executive for The Salvation Army Southern California. During her tenure there, she headed its two biggest departments: Social Services and Development. Ms. Buelna has also worked as the Director of a Parent Information and Resource Center, a DCFS social worker, medical social worker, served on numerous boards, and served the city of Los Angeles through multiple commission appointments. She has also served on the APU Department of Social Work Community Advisory Board for a number of years.
