Biography
Faraah Mullings Brown, EdD, has worked in higher education for 14 years. She recently completed her doctorate in educational leadership from the University of California, Los Angeles, her dissertation examining factors that influence the persistence of first-generation Latina commuter students at a four-year, independent, faith-based urban institution. Her background in student affairs includes residence life, Greek life, student government, student activities, clubs and organization leadership, and student conduct and student media. Brown is a director of student programming and commuter services at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, responsible for serving the commuter student population.
