Laudamus Award Given to Honorable APU Student

AZUSA, Calif. –

Porterville, Calif. resident and Azusa Pacific University senior Felipe Castillo recently received the Laudamus Award presented by APU’s libraries. Castillo is expected to graduate December 2008 with a degree in Business Administration from APU’s School of Business and Management.

“Felipe Castillo is an exceptional young man. I have been impressed by his passion for excellence,” said Myrna Brown, coordinator in APU’s Hugh and Hazel Darling Library. “He also displays excellent leadership abilities by always taking on extra duties using his own initiative and creative ideas. His strong presence compliments the library in an awesome way.”

APU’s Marshburn Memorial Library, Hugh and Hazel Darling Library, and James L. Stamps Theological Library grant the Laudamus Awards to graduating undergraduate or graduate seniors in recognition of their distinguished service to the library program. Recipients exhibit creativity, ingenuity, and servanthood during their time of employment.
