Azusa Pacific University is an evangelical Christian community of disciples and scholars who seek to advance the work of God in the world through academic excellence in liberal arts and professional programs of higher education that encourage students to develop a Christian perspective of truth and life.
아주사퍼시픽대학교는 복음주의 기독교 공동체로써, 수준 높은 교육 과정과 교양과목을 통해, 하나님의 사역을 감당하며, 참된 기독교 시각을 갖춘 제자 양성에 전념하고 있습니다.
University History
아주사퍼시픽대학교 역사
What began in 1899 as the Training School for Christian Workers has grown into a comprehensive Christian university offering more than 60 areas of undergraduate study, 26 master’s degree programs, and 7 doctorates to a total enrollment of nearly 8,100 students. Today, under the leadership of the president Jon R. Wallace, DBA, Azusa Pacific holds fast to the motto of God First and still prepares Christian disciples and scholars to serve and influence the world for Christ through excellence in higher education.
아주사퍼시픽대학교는 1899년 기독교 사역자를 훈련시키기 위한 목적아래 세워졌으며, 8,100명 이상 소속된 학생들을 위해 60여개의 학부 과정과, 26개의 석사과정, 그리고 7개의 박사과정이 있다. 현재 존 왈러스 박사가 학교 총장으로 활동하고 있으며, 그의 리더십을 통해 아주사퍼시픽대학교는 ‘하나님 먼저’라는 표어 아래, 그리스도를 섬기며 세상에 영향력을 행사하는 참된 제자와 학자를 양성하고있습니다.

Azusa Pacific University is located in the San Gabriel Valley community of Azusa, 26 miles Northeast of Los Angeles. The university also maintains seven off-site regional centers.

For the first year, Azusa Pacific University secured a place in the most prestigious category of national universities in U.S.News & World Report’s America’s Best Colleges 2008 rankings. Previously, APU was ranked in the top 25 schools within the Western Universities-Master’s category, enjoying prominent placement and recognition for outstanding first-year and service-learning programs.
