Video Introduction

Ted Scott Bledsoe, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist and teaches in the Doctoral Psychology program at APU where he is the director of clinical training for Internship. He is passionate about Systems Thinking and teaches Psychology and Systems Theory, Systems II: Family Therapy, and the History and Systems of Psychology. He also enjoys teaching CBT Theories, CBT Interventions, and Advanced Developmental Psychology I: Infancy through Adolescence.
Additionally, he has taught and published in multiple areas including cultural diversity, thriving in ministry, and fear and anxiety in university settings. In his book, Using Narratives and Storytelling to Promote Cultural Diversity on College Campuses (IGI Global, 2021), co-written with Kimberly Setterlund, he explores diversity through the lens of students, faculty, staff, and administrators at APU. In his article, “Recognizing Student Fear, The Elephant in the Classroom”, co-written with Janice Baskin, he examines ways to mitigate student anxiety and fear in the college classroom. Before embarking on a career in clinical psychology, he worked as an elementary school teacher for eleven years in South Central Los Angeles.
