Theresa Clement Tisdale, PhD, PsyD

Theresa Clement Tisdale, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist, psychoanalyst, and professor of graduate psychology. Her three primary clinical, academic, and research interests are: psychoanalysis/psychodynamic psychotherapy, the psychology of religion and spirituality, and spiritual formation. Tisdale has taught internationally in Manila, Philippines, Singapore, and Chiang Mai, Thailand. She is an active member of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies (CAPS), the American Psychological Association (APA), APA Division 36 (Society for the Psychology of Religion and Spirituality), and Division 39 (Psychoanalysis). Tisdale serves as an Associate Editor of Psychology of Religion and Spirituality (journal of APA Division 36), and on the editorial boards of: Spirituality in Clinical Practice (APA journal), Spiritual Formation and Soul Care, and the Journal of Psychology and Theology. She maintains a private practice in Glendora California. While on faculty with Azusa Pacific University, Tisdale served as Director of the Azusa Oxford Semester in Oxford, England from 2007-09.
