Sue Hebel, EdD, ATC, enjoys getting her students excited about current research in the field of physical education and how they can apply this information in their professional teaching and coaching. She also is passionate about service-learning in the Azusa Unified School District, and desires for her students to apply their learning to elementary, junior high, and high school students. Her current research involves helping collect data for the NCAA-Department of Defense concussion study, in which APU athletes are participating. She also assists with Night of Champions and the Special Olympics, and helps conduct physicals for APU’s athletics teams. Hebel is a deacon at her church and also is involved with its children’s ministries, and she enjoys gardening, walking, swimming, cycling, and attending her nieces’ and nephews’ sporting events.
