Pamela Fisher, MA, is the program director of the Digital Media and Communication bachelor's completion program at the Murrieta Regional Campus, and an assistant professor in the Department of Communication Studies. A major metro newspaper and magazine editor since 1996, Fisher came to APU as Storytelling Coach at the USA Today Network, specializing in long form journalism, digital transmedia storytelling, and narrative theory. She served a decade in San Francisco as an arts and culture editor and theater critic at the San Francisco Examiner and Oakland Tribune/ANG newsgroup and the Cincinnati Enquirer. As senior editor at HarperCollins/Zondervan Publishing she was an innovate team leader. A foodie and travel writer with over 400 published articles in city magazines, metros, and websites, she has also taught religion reporting, news writing, arts journalism, health news writing, and journalism ethics. Married to a Methodist pastor, Terry, she has two children, Alyssa and Alexander, in graduate school in Ohio, and a big black lab named Prim. After eight years of teaching at public universities, she is eager to share her faith-based approach to the profession of journalism.
