Professor Emerita, School of Nursing

Connie Brehm, PhD, MSN, MPH, holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Public Health degrees from UCLA. Her Master of Science in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner specialty is from California State University at Long Beach. Her PhD in Nursing, awarded in 1997 from University of Colorado School of Nursing, focused on Community Health. Her dissertation research was entitled: Outcomes of Nursing Case Management of Back-Injured Healthcare Workers. She was founder and director of APU School of Nursing's Homeless Healthcare Outreach (1997 to 2017). Dr. Brehm makes contributions to professional nursing education as a trained site evaluator for the Commission on Collegiate Nursing (CCNE) a position held since 2003. Now retired from full-time teaching she provides consultation to the School of Nursing related to program assessment and accreditation.
