Aris Rodriguez, JD, is a Christian missionary with a background in criminal law and constitutional law. Previous professional experience includes working for the Circuit Court of Cook County, Criminal Trials Division, in Chicago, dealing with felony criminal trial proceedings that ranged from felony battery to capital punishment. He also worked on postconviction petitions, ensuring that the judicial process guaranteed constitutional protections for sentenced convicted defendants. Additionally, he has worked as a constitutional rights advocate, working in local jurisdictions, state courts, and federal court proceedings, advocating to ensure constitutional protections through state and federal civil rights enforcements. His advocacy led to working on a federal district trial proceeding that reached the United States Supreme Court, certiorari denied.
As an educator, he has taught a multitude of law courses within the criminal justice profession. He has been on the advisory board for Cengage Learning, an educational publishing company, providing guidance on pedagogical teaching and learning methods. He delights in mentoring individuals to get involved in social justice causes, and his ultimate goal—accomplished through focusing on a faith-based teaching curriculum—is spreading Christ’s teachings so the Holy Spirit can envelop future leaders and decision makers in the law profession.
