Accreditation

The credential programs in the Department of Educational Leadership are accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). Master's degrees are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and NCATE.

University Reputation

For the first year, Azusa Pacific University secured a place in the most prestigious category of national universities in U.S.News & World Report’s America’s Best Colleges 2008 rankings. Previously, APU was ranked in the top 25 schools within the Western Universities-Master’s category, enjoying prominent placement and recognition for outstanding first-year and service-learning programs.

According to Diverse Issues in Higher Education magazine, APU ranked number 6 in the nation in awarding the most master’s degrees to Hispanics. In addition, The Princeton Review included APU among the 123 colleges in the 2008 Best in the West category.
