Dan Kipley, DBA, has been at APU since 2004. His research interests center on analyzing and improving the performance of for-profit and not-for-profit firms mainly through the application of strategic analysis tools, statistics, and performance evaluation. In the performance arena, he has developed an iPad app in English and Chinese that accurately positions a firm’s performance relative to the competitive environment. Kipley has authored or co-authored seven textbooks and contributed to multiple additional textbooks. He has also authored more than 15 journal articles on strategic performance, presenting at domestic and international conferences. He has received several nominations for teaching excellence, including an Oxford Journal 50 Top Global Educators nomination as well as the John Robert Gregg Award in Business Education for outstanding meritorious contribution to business education.
