Biography

Bill Fiala, PhD, is a licensed psychologist (PSY 17213) and is certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Counseling Psychology. He has directed the APU University Counseling Center for the past 16 years, serves as Associate Dean of Students overseeing Student Life wellness services, and teaches in the MS in College Counseling and Student Development program at Azusa Pacific University. Fiala received his doctorate in clinical psychology and master’s degree in theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, and completed internships at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and UC Irvine prior to coming to APU. Areas of interest include faith and spiritual development, life transitions, leadership and management, power and privilege, stress and coping, and gender and identity issues.
