THIS YEAR: Sophomore Adam Wengronowitz is a sprinter looking to add to further his collegiate competition with another full year of sprinting … Will solely focus on the shorter sprints … Will push to make the GSAC finals.

2008 (freshman): Returned to track & field after a year layoff and competed in more than 5 meets, running in events ranging from the 60- to the 800-meters.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a 4-sport standout at Tri-City Christian in Vista, Calif., competing with current Cougar teammate John Pfeil … Lettered 2 seasons in track & field as a hurdler … Competed in the CIF state championship, finishing with a time of 18:37 in 5,000-meters … As a 2004 sophomore, helped lead the Eagles to a Coastal League and CIF Division V championship … Served as team captain for 2 seasons … Competed 3 seasons in cross country … As a 2006 senior, placed fifth at the CIF finals with a 3-mile time of 19:08 … Lettered 2 seasons in soccer (midfielder) … Earned All-Coastal League second-team honors as a senior … Served as team captain for 1 season … Also competed 1 season of varsity volleyball as a libero.
