THIS YEAR: One of the Cougars most experienced throwers, James Graham will push for All-GSAC honors (top 3 finish) in the discus Will also compete in the hammer and shot Is in his second year back in track & field after a taking 4 years away from the sport.
2008 (sophomore): Returned to the sport after a 4-year layoff and competed in a variety of events at several meets during his 2008 sophomore season at Azusa Pacific At the GSAC Championship Meet in Azusa, finished seventh in the hammer (personal-record 115 4) and ninth in the shot put (37 6½) Enjoyed his best meet of the season at the Pomona Invitational in early April where he recorded personal records in the discus (129 2) and shot put (38 5).
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in both football (offensive line) and track & field at El Capitan High in Lakeside, Calif., from where he graduated in 2005 Was a 2-time San Diego Union-Tribune scholar-athlete honoree In football received all-conference honorable mention as a senior.
PERSONAL: Born Jan. 30, 1987, in Anaheim, Calif. Parents are Stuart (pediatrician) and Grace Graham Has 2 younger brothers (Jeremy, David) and 3 younger sisters (Katherine, Becca, Debbie) Majoring in finance Wants to go into management Enjoys reading and computers His uncle, Doug Graham, played football at the University of La Verne.
