2008 (freshman: As a 2008 freshman was 1 of 3 Cougars to clear 14-feet, going a season-best 14' 7¼" to finish fifth at the GSAC Championship Meet in Azusa ... Also cleared 14' 3¼ at the Pomona Invitational for his only other vault over 14-feet.
HIGH SCHOOL: Competed 4 seasons in track & field at Pinnacle High in Phoenix, Ariz. ... As a 2007 senior, was the Arizona state 4A-I champion in the pole vault with a career-best effort of 14' 6" ... Also won the region crown ... Twice finished fifth in the pole vault in the state meet as a 2006 junior and 2005 sophomore ...
