2007: Gained tremendous experience and opportunities as a 2007 freshman, competing in 4 different events over the course of 9 meets in 3 months ... Best effort was at the GSAC championships in Fresno where she finished 11th in the shot put with a career-best 35-2½.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a 2-time All-Bay League pick at South Torrance High in Torrance, Calif., first in the discus as a 2005 junior and then in the shot as a 2006 senior ... Was named team MVP as a senior ... Also lettered in soccer.

PERSONAL: Born March 17, 1988, in Torrance, Calif. ... Parents are John (attorney) and Linda (teacher) Dwyer ... Her mom played basketball at California Baptist ... Has an older sister (Danielle) and a younger brother (Sean) ... Majoring in applied health and would like to go into physical therapy.
