THIS YEAR: Senior Jordan Burnette looks to close out a 4-year career on a high note as one of the Cougars’ strongest in a deep corps of hurdlers ... Should be among the best in the GSAC … Teams with Matt Sparks to give the Cougars a strong hurdle presence.

2007: Qualified for the NAIA Indoor Championship Meet in the 60-meter hurdles, advancing to the semifinals with an 8.39 before bowing out ... Also advanced to the semis of the 400 hurdles at the NAIA Outdoor Championship Meet with a career-best 54.25 ... At the GSAC Championships finished fourth in the 400 hurdles (55.14) and sixth in the 110 hurdles (15.86) .. Clocked a season-best 15.10 to finish fourth at the Claremont Classic.

2006: Competed in both the NAIA indoor and outdoor championship meets, individually running in the indoor high hurdles and as a member of the Cougar relays in the outdoor 4x400 prelims ... At the GSAC championships in San Diego, finished fourth in both the 110 hurdles (15.12) and 400 hurdles (55.85).

2005: Qualified for the finals of the GSAC high hurdles in his first year on the college level … Clocked a season-best 8.97 in the indoor 60 hurdles at a meet hosted by Boise State.

HIGH SCHOOL: Ran 3 years of track & field at state power Dimond High in Anchorage, Alaska … As a 2004 senior, led the Lynx to a second-place finish in the state meet by finishing second in the 110-meter hurdles (15.51) … Also ran a leg on Dimond’s state runner-up 4x100 relay (44.15) … As a 2003 junior, was a key member of Dimond’s state championship team, finishing sixth in 110-meter hurdles.

PERSONAL: Born March 21, 1986, in Seattle, Wash., to Clifton and Celeste Burnette … Has 1 sister (Olivia) … Majoring in marketing … Enjoys snowboarding.
