A Derby For All

AZUSA, Calif. -- The Azusa Pacific softball program will host its first annual Home Run Derby during homecoming festivities Saturday, Oct. 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cougar Softball Complex.

Here is everyone’s chance to flex their muscles and see if they still have it or if they ever had it when comes to swinging for the fences. A grand prize will be awarded to the top three sluggers of the Home Run Derby.

The Derby is open to students, faculty/staff, alumni and friends of Azusa Pacific University. Registration for the Derby is $15 for adults, $10 for students, with a commemorative t-shirt is included for all participants.

Food, music and additional prizes are also included in the festivities of the Home Run Derby.

To register for the Derby, stop by the Azusa Pacific athletics office, or sign-up with an Azusa Pacific softball player or call 626-815-6000 ext. 5443.

All proceeds from the Derby go to support Azusa Pacific softball.
