Dan Wood

Dan Wood enters his fourth season as an assistant on Jason Surrell's coaching staff.
One of Wood's primary responsibilities is handling the Cougars' recruiting efforts, and he directed Azusa Pacific's summer recruit camp in 2008. In addition, he handles duties in training, scheduling and travel.
Wood spent 4 years at Olivet Nazarene (1996-2000), where he played midfield for the Tigers and graduated in 2000 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He served as team captain during his senior season.
After graduating, Wood began his coaching career with the Bettendorf (Iowa) Soccer Association. He spent 4 years there before moving to California. He has spent the past 5 seasons with the Legends FC club program (formerly Glendora FC), where he is a staff coach in the youth program. Wood was also one of Surrell's assistants on the first-ever Legends FC W-League team this past summer.
Wood is single and resides in Glendora, and he is currently working towards a graduate degree in Azusa Pacific's MBA program.
