Dustin Fortenberry

Video Coordinator/Offensive Assistant

Former Cougar offensive lineman Dustin Fortenberry moves onto the Cougar coaching staff after spending the past 3 seasons as a player in the program. Fortenberry will assist with the Cougar offense while teaming with Ben Winslow to coordinate the Cougar video productions and assignments.

Originally a transfer from Shasta Junior College in Redding, Calif., Fortenberry started at guard all 20 games he played at Azusa Pacific the past 2 seasons, missing just 1 contest because of injury. He redshirted the 2006 campaign, his first season at Azusa Pacific.

Fortenberry spent 2 seasons at Shasta, starting 18 of 20 games played along the Knight offensive front. As a 2005 sophomore he was named All-Mid-Empire Conference and the team’s offensive lineman of the year.

He prepped at Enterprise High in Redding where he was a 2-way standout and played a major role in leading the Hornets to the 2001 CIF Northern Section championship.

Fortenberry, 25, graduated from Azusa Pacific in December of 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in social science. He is engaged to be married to Nicci Concello in 2010.
