2007: Appeared in all 11 games as a true-freshman, cracking the starting line-up by the third game and staying there the rest of the season ... Was second on the team with 74 tackles with 3 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks ... Tallied 10 or more tackles in 3 different games, including a career-high 13 in the 38-34 win over Whitworth ... Also had 9 tackles and a hand in 2 sacks in the win over Dixie State ... Along with 7 tackles, forced a fumble and registered his first collegiate interception in a 27-17 Cougar win over Humboldt State.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played 2 seasons of varsity football for head coach William Lane at James Taylor High in Katy, Texas ... Was a 2-time all-district honoree as a Mustangs’ outside linebacker ... Led the Mustangs to the 2006 playoffs, their first postseason appearance in 11 years ... Also earned 2 varsity letters in baseball.
