2006: Put together a fine 2-a-day workout in August and emerged as a pleasant surprise among the newcomers ... Played in 6 games, starting 1 (vs. Malone) ... Had 3 receptions for 19 yards, including a 4-yard touchdown catch to put the Cougars up 21-7 vs. Dixie State late in the first half.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played 2 seasons for head coach Mark McElroy at Saddleback Community College in Mission Viejo, Calif. ... As a 2004 sophomore earned All-Mission Conference second team after tallying 34 receptions for 428 yards and 5 TDs for the 11-2 Gauchos ... As a 2002 freshman played at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, Calif. ... Sat out the 2003 season ... Signed with NCAA Division II Texas-Commerce out of Saddleback but only attended the 2004 spring semester ... Sat out 2005.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was actually a baseball standout in high school, playing 2 years at Mater Dei High in Santa Ana, Calif., and the final two at Trabuco Hills in Mission Viejo, Calif. ... Did not play football until his 2001 senior season, earning All-CIF, all-conference and a spot in the Orange County all-star game ... As a junior collected all-league recognition in both basketball and baseball ... At Mater Dei, was all-league second team in basketball as a sophomore.

PERSONAL: Born Oct. 1, 1983, in West Covina, Calif., to Del (insurance adjuster) and Kelly (secretary) Webster ... Has 3 brothers (Ryan, Perry, Patrick) ... His father played baseball at Cal Poly Pomona ... Wants to go into teaching.
