HIGH SCHOOL: Was a 2-sport athlete at North County Christian High in Atascadero, Calif. … Played on the Crusader defensive line for 3 varsity seasons of 8-man football for head coach Shane Sander … Had 140 tackles and 5 sacks as a 2007 senior to help lead the Crusaders to a 9-2 season record … Named All-Coast Valley League defense for the Coast Valley League and had the most tackles in the league both as a 2007 senior (140) and a 2006 junior (101) … Was also a 4-year letter-winner in baseball for head coach Kevin Irot.
