THIS YEAR: Veteran junior Tito Spilsbury is expected to vie for significant playing time at cornerback and on special teams ... Is in his fourth season in the Cougar system and has a great understanding of the defense scheme.

2008 (sophomore): Came on strong over the final half of his 2008 sophomore season, appearing in 6 of the Cougars' final 7 games, all in a reserve role ... Collected 8 tackles (6 solo) on the season and registered 1 of the Cougars 8 interceptions on the season, picking off a pass vs. Central Washington, a game in which he also recorded a career-high 3 tackles.

2007 (junior): Made his first collegiate appearance in the Cougars' win over Southern Nazarene, deflecting a pass in the process.

2006 (redshirt): Redshirted his first season at Azusa Pacific, attending classes while working out with the team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played 2 seasons of varsity football for head coach Marty Martin at Village Christian High in Sun Valley, Calif. ... Named All-CIF and All-Olympic League first team after leading the Crusaders with 33 receptions for 594 yards (18.0 avg.) and 6 TDs ... Also rushed for 121 yards on just 9 carries (13.4 avg.) ... Best game came in a loss to Valley Christian, registering a career-high 9 catches for 129 yards ... Recorded an 86-yard TD reception in a victory over Kilpatrick ... Also averaged nearly 14 yards on 4 punt returns ... As a 2004 junior, earned his first-ever All-Olympic League recognition after leading the Crusaders with 21 catches and 476 yards (22.7 avg.) with 3 TDs ... Also earned 2 varsity letters in basketball (guard) and 2 in track & field (sprinter) ... Named Village Christian's Male Athlete of the Year as a junior and senior.
