HIGH SCHOOL: Was a 2-sport standout at El Segundo (Calif.) High, earning varsity letters in football and baseball … As a 2002 senior, named All-Ocean League and the team’s most valuable lineman ... As a senior also lettered in basketball and earned the team’s Comeback Player of the Year Award for the 29-6 Eagles who finished as the CIF runner-up.
