HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in 4 sports at Word of Life Academy in Honolulu, Hawaii ... Played 3 seasons of varsity football... Also played 2 seasons of basketball for the Firebrands and ran 2 years of track & field ... Served as team captain for the canoe paddling squad.

PERSONAL: Born Jan. 3, 1987, in Honolulu to Mike (property manager) and Chris (teacher) Hanakahi ... Has 1 brother (Peter) and 2 sisters (Adaiah, Jedidah) ... Majoring in history.
