2006: Appeared in all 10 games as a 2006 sophomore, starting the final 8 of the campaign ... Was seventh on the team with 44 tackles (14 solo), including 6 for loss ... Tallied a career-high 9 tackles vs. Wisconsin-LaCrosse, his first collegiate start ... Had 7 tackles and 1.5 sacks in the victory over Dixie State ... Collected his first collegiate interception vs. Humboldt State and returned it 39 yards
2005: Appeared in 3 games as a 2005 redshirt freshman, primarily on special teams … Registered a pair of tackles, including 1 in the season opener vs. San Diego … Made a move from the Cougar secondary to linebacker.
2004: Redshirted his first season at Azusa Pacific.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a 3-sport standout at Fresno Christian High, earning All-Central Sierra League recognition in football, soccer and baseball during his senior year … On the gridiron, led the Eagles to an 11-1 record during his 2002 senior season … In baseball, was a member of back-to-back league championship teams.
PERSONAL: Son of Keith Casey and Deborah Wise … His father played baseball at Iowa State … Has 3 sisters (Barbara, Jill, Stephanie) … Attended Fresno Pacific for 1 year, playing on the Sunbirds’ club baseball team in 2004.
