Scholarships and Memorials
Scholarships and memorials provide a lasting way to pay tribute to a special colleague, relative, or friend while strengthening APU’s athletics program. Various scholarship funds may be endowed by families and friends in the memory of loved ones.
Matching Gifts
If your company has a matching gift program for intercollegiate athletics, you may have the opportunity to double the value of your gift at no additional cost to you. Employers may match your contribution dollar-for-dollar, which in turn, multiplies your gift. Please contact your human resources department or APU’s Office of Athletics Development for more information.
Life Income Gifts
Charitable reminder trusts, funded through cash, securities, or real property, offer several advantages to donors: They provide the donor with income for a designated period of time or for life; they give APU Athletics a gift upon the completion of the trust or donor’s death; and possible tax advantages may exist. Please consult your personal tax advisor. Benefits on life income gifts are evaluated on an individual basis.
In-kind Gifts
In-kind gifts are contributions other than cash that support the athletic general fund. These gifts offset items, goods, or services which otherwise become expenses to APU’s program. Please ask for details on the types of in-kind gifts that can assist the APU athletics program and how these gifts are processed and credited.
Cougar Athletics Association
The Cougar Athletics Association is comprised of individuals and businesses who have chosen to financially support Azusa Pacific University athletics. Each gift of $50 or more entitles the donor to membership in the Cougar Athletics Association. These funds may be directed, at the donor's request, to a specific team or the general athletics program. Donated funds are then allocated toward worthy projects such as student scholarships, facility construction and improvements, travel for students to compete against other athletes across the country, equipment, and other departmental needs. Your gift makes a difference!
